Welcome to St Gregory's Catholic Primary School! My name is Deacon Mark Paine and I have the honour and privilege of being the Principal of this wonderful learning community. 

The school's purpose is to fulfil 'God's will and purpose, that is to give each pupil access through Christ to the Father in the power of the Holy Spirit, and so come to share in the divine life and love of the Most Holy Trinity' (Dei Verbum/'The Word of God'). We do this, as it states in our mission statement, through Loving and Learning.

At a parent/carer forum meeting, a child asked me 'Why are we here?'. I pointed at him and said 'You. You and all the other children'. That is why I came into education and why the school is here.
