The recruitment of staff follows the Emmaus MAC Safer Recruitment Policy. All successful applicants will be subject to statutory background checks as outlined in the application material and will be expected to read the school's Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy and indicate that they have read it. 

Volunteers working outside the class with individual pupils or small groups and visitors will also be expected to provide an up to date DBS. If a volunteer will be working regularly in the school, we will arrange for a DBS.
